How this route builder works
What the map does
The map is a planning workspace for building a multi-stop Schengen trip. Add cities in the order you expect to visit them, then adjust the number of Schengen stay days for each stop.
What the calculator checks
After you send the route to the calculator, the route is checked as one planned Schengen stay using your entry date, exit date and selected countries.
Route and travel-time limits
Route lines, travel times and map locations are planning estimates. Smaller places may depend on the place search provider, and transport times can differ from real schedules, road conditions or flight availability.

Does this map calculate my Schengen days?
The route builder counts the calendar days you assign to the route. The rolling 90/180 compliance check happens after you send the route to the calculator.
Why does it use Schengen days instead of nights?
The Schengen short-stay rule is based on calendar days. A same-day visit counts as one day, and a two-night stay may cover three calendar dates in other contexts. This planner therefore uses stay days to match the calculator.
Can I use small towns and map clicks?
Yes, when the place-search API is available. If the API is unavailable or a limit is reached, the tool may fall back to the closest supported internal city.
Why are API requests limited?
Place search and routing providers have usage limits and costs. The public version is rate-limited to protect the service from bots and abuse. Higher limits can be enabled later for signed-in or premium users.
