How to Use the Trip Length Tester Before Booking a Schengen Stay

The Trip Length Tester is designed for quick “what if” checks. Instead of adding a future trip to your saved plan, you can test one possible start date and one stay length against the previous Schengen trips you already entered.

When to use it

Use this tool when you are considering a possible journey but have not yet decided whether it should be part of your main plan. It is useful for checking whether a 7-day, 14-day or 30-day stay still leaves a comfortable buffer.

Why it is different from a simple date counter

The result is not just the number of days between two dates. The tester checks the possible stay against your rolling 180-day travel history and estimates how much of the 90-day limit would be used, based on the dates entered.

Recommended workflow

  1. Add your previous Schengen trips first.
  2. Open the Trip Length Tester.
  3. Choose a possible start date and stay length.
  4. Review the estimated use and buffer.
  5. Only add the trip to your saved plan if the dates still make sense.
